Enjoy the Journey
What we are looking at here is putting in place a process and a journey. Sometimes, when we have a desire to achieve something, and we understand that we need to undertake a process and a journey to arrive at our goal, we can become concerned that the journey will be too tough. We may want to be super healthy, but we don’t want to give up chocolates, cakes and crisps. We may want to get fit, but we don’t want to run a marathon or go down to the gym. We feel the price is too high, so we don’t bother, and we give up.
One thing I think all successful people have, is the ability to pay the price for their success, but without seeing it that way. The real price that we pay is for not going on the journey, for not employing the process to achieve our goals.
The price we pay for not doing the things we need to do is much, much higher. The true price for not being healthy and fit, is not being there for your grandchildren. The true price for not putting that extra effort in at work, is not having enough money for what you need, or not having the life that you want. The true price for not being with your wife and kids, is family breakdown. Whatever it is that you are allowing to get in the way, is just rubbish that you can dump.
What if these objections that go around in your head are holding you back from being all you can be? It’s time to set new Daily Standards; to put on the huge coat and grow into it.
I didn’t allow other things to get in the way of my True Self. That’s how I turned my life around in less than four years. It’s so easy to let the objections get in the way but really you have to trust this ‘stuff’. When you are really you, miracles happen. You become more connected to yourself and to your true calling.
Whether you try the coat on or not, it’s already working for you. It’s a bit like gravity. If you choose to jump and land on the floor, or you choose to stay where you are, gravity is already working all around you. Are you willing to jump? Are you willing to take the risk to really, be you.
The whole journey is a life journey – it’s not a three-day course or a one-hour presentation. It’s a Life Journey.
I will share more with you next week about my journey, including a story about my children and sunflowers..
