I often think of the ‘spirit’ of the major religious festivals and anniversaries that we celebrate, such as Christmas. For instance, consider Christmas or Holiday ‘Spirit.’ What is that spirit and how does it manifest? The ‘spirit’ is nothing more than people being relaxed and allowing themselves to be open enough to look for the connection with others: to let themselves be their best and allow positive energy to flow to and from them.
Notice how people smile more, are more tolerant, and silently wish each other good intentions. In doing so, we begin to ‘see’ one another – no gifts or material manipulation is required to do this – as we share the same energy with complete strangers, bidding good intentions to people we may never meet again.
Just for a short while we realise that we’re all in this together, that there is more than our isolation and we’re part of something bigger that is more than ourselves. At other times of the year most people are less bothered about others. I’m not saying that it’s right but that’s how it is. Soon after any holidays, festivals, or celebrations, notice how the material, workaday world drags you back to the matrix – to what we might call reality – and away from that experience of unified connection, and into NonSelf. At these times, we can continue to share in that spirit with others, and make our energy self-evident, as we continue to do, say, and be the thing that caused the ‘spirit’ in the first place.
Another way of thinking of your TrueSelf connections is that even if you can’t discern what came or comes from a particular connection, the fact that you’re in your TrueSelf place is reward enough. When you think back to the moments when you’re most connected to others; when your awareness is encompassing; when you have knowledge of yourself; and when your best mental, physical, and emotional powers are at your disposal, you’ll practically be living the best life possible. Each time you have an amazing happening, capture that moment and add it to your storehouse, as each will serve you and increase your Faculty.
