DailyStandards™ are self-concordant, meaning that they fulfil basic personal needs. They are congruent, which means they are aligned with an individual’s Wellbeing and ‘TrueSelf’.
DailyStandards™ have personal meaning to an individual and reflect an individual’s self-identity, inner essence and TrueSelf. According to the 10-Second Philosophy®, DailyStandards™ set from within an individual or an organisation, only have to be adhered to for just one day, then one day at a time as life/business unfolds. One holds and lives at these DailyStandards™ just one day at a time, in fact long enough to notice what would happen if one did [maintain them]…
The efficiency of deeds within a team is increased when DailyStandards™ are agreed and maintained. The DailyStandards™ ‘directions’ take the form of systemic, organisational and behavioural ‘5-Aspects’;
Basis,
Criteria,
Levels,
Qualities
and Rules.

As the source of these DailyStandards™ are authentically taken from within the individual, the organisation or the leader, they automatically lead to more authentic individuals, organisations and to authentic leadership.
Whilst DailyStandards™ are set and form a permanent feature (until ungraded), the commitment to those Standards is restricted to one day, the day one is in; Today.
The revolutionary book, ‘The 10-Second Philosophy®’ shares how one can review and reset new DailyStandards™ that better serve the individual.

Goals alone do not work for most, unless accompanied by the right DailyStandards™
In contrast to the revolutionary DailyStandards™ approach, most goals do not reflect an individual’s or a company’s authentic internal drive, cause or passion, but instead are driven by social, familial and financial expectations.
Goals and targets can serve to pull an individual away from their TrueSelf and because of these social pressures, the individual actually feels unhappy within. This is why even upon the achievement of said goals, the majority of individuals still ask “is this all there is?” Or “How come I’m not happy?” Achieving goals which are not deeply true for them, leaves the individual often with lower feelings of wellbeing and after the initial euphoria asking, “How come I’ve got the goal but don’t feel happy?”
Most individuals and most teams do not achieve most of their goals for these reasons. As I studied the old ‘set goals for success’ philosophy, I noticed something else. There is a far more important issue missed by virtually every coach and success teacher, and that is what I call ‘happiness-detachment by goals attachment’. In essence, everyone who sets a goal sets them in some way to attain greater happiness. No one deliberately sets a goal in order to create unhappiness for themselves. The problem is that in doing so they ‘put off’ their feeling of happiness until they have attained their ideal wealth, health, income, home, partner or position. Hence they do not experience this happiness in the present time. When we link this to the fact that most people do not achieve most of their goals most of the time, the deferred happiness never actually comes!
The key differentiator is to instead go through a personal or business review and to begin to live by congruent DailyStandards™, set from within. Then to use tools and processes which support that inner intention. As the individual lives by DailyStandards™ set from within, their self-esteem grows. DailyStandards™ when used, are the ‘missing link’ to an individual’s personal or business success.
The DailyStandards™ model is about providing a higher level of Wellbeing, profitability, self- determination and happiness, yes happiness, in the present-time for individuals and business owners. It makes goal attainment hugely more possible in any arena or area of life. The DailyStandards™ philosophy and practices are truly congruent with ‘happiness of pursuit, not pursuit of happiness’.
